CMT will be selecting 4 young women between the ages of 20 and 24 who were Business Plan winners under CMT’s Girls’ Club Programme. Only young women from Ekurhuleni district will be considered.
If you are South African and received seed funding from CMT to start your business in 2021 and 2022, and if your business is still up and running, you are eligible to apply.
The learnership runs over 12 months from 1 February 2023 and you need to be available to attend lectures in person in Parktown, Johannesburg and complete practical work experience.
Learners will receive a monthly stipend of R4,000 per month for the 12 months.
The learnership aims to provide you with a qualification that can help entrepreneurs to capitalise on opportunities to start and grow sustainable businesses. The qualification is designed for learners who plan to set up, or have already set up, their own business.

You will also attend several additional workshops on other important topics that will assist you to launch, manage and grow your business, including:

- Personal Branding
- Business Writing Skills
- People Skills & Networking
- Digital Marketing – Putting your business on the map!
You will be required to attend lectures in person in Parktown for approximately 30 – 35 days over the year, as well as carrying out practical experience at CMT’s offices in Johannesburg and in the field.
You will be responsible for your transport costs to and from lectures and for your workplace experience. You need to commit to attending this in person in order to be eligible and can use the R4,000 monthly stipend to cover your transport costs.
