Community Liaison Officer DBN – R7500 per month

 

Community Media Trust (CMT) is a not-for-profit organisation that has produced HIV/Aids and related public health education material and implemented community level programmes since 1998.

CMT seeks to employ for a Fixed Period (till the end of September 2019) a suitably qualified/experienced Community Liaison Officer (CLO) to work on the Community-based Adherence Club project.

Key duties and responsibilities: (may include but are not limited to)

  • Attend the relevant community meetings and structures in order to ensure that the community is kept abreast of activities
  • Work closely with the project coordinator and the team to fulfil the project goals
  • Represent CMT at local structures or ensure that someone does
  • Host, organise and attend meetings with stakeholders
  • Supporting facilitators during sessions
  • Promote Adherence Club to support recruitment of stable patients at community level
  • Assist in finding venues for community based adherence clubs.

  • Actively promote the Adherence Clubs and work with on-site clinicians to recruit stable patients to the community-based Adherence Clubs
  • Prepare and plan for the Adherence Club, including sourcing venues
  • Facilitate the Adherence Club
  • Monitor and report the activities of the Adherence Club
  • Provide health education and adherence support
  • Make use of standardised M&E tools to record and report each Club session

TV Project Bookkeeper Cape Town – R16000 per month

 

Community Media Trust (CMT) is a South African NGO focusing on communication in the fields of basic human rights. CMT aims to empower individuals and communities, encouraging them to take part in managing and improving their own lives, promoting healthy and health-seeking behaviour and basic human rights. CMT also produces local television dramas.

CMT is seeking to employ a vibrant, diligent and meticulous bookkeeper for a fixed period (May 2019 to October 2019) to provide support for the daily, weekly, and monthly accounting function and to work closely with the Producer and Production Manager at our Head Office based in Rondebosch, Cape Town.

In our environment this calls for someone who shows great initiative and analytical ability. The successful candidate must possess the ability to analyse and interpret financial information for business efficiency purposes and be motivated to make that deadline with accurate figures – on time, every time.
